I first saw the farmhouse back in 2005 and it's come a long way in that short time. Some extended family members have lovingly made it their home and are slowly restoring it back to it's original charm. I think it's so cool that they're willing to live with the quirks of this old house. They're dealing with lots of imperfections and inconveniences; and, they're making it work. I'm not sure if I would be that brave, but I am so glad they are because the home has so much soul to it now.
All through the house tour I was snapping away photos with my iPhone - such a handy little thing - and I thought you all might like to join me in recapping the beauty.
Today, we're taking a walk through the main floor. Happy touring...
I loved all of the different layers and the little nooks and crannies. There's so much history there. My favourite space was the bathroom. It sounds a bit weird, I know, but I just loved the blue and white chinoiserie wallpaper and hanging wicker basket.
I'm curious...could you live like this, without all of the modern day conveniences we're used to?
